TheTM508 and TM512 provide 8 and 12 Voice over IP (VoIP) lines respectively. They provide the same suite of telephony services as the two-line and four-line E-MTA models but also add the ability for operators to easily scale up their deployments to support shared-tenant service and business applications. These multiline E-MTAs allow revenues for business services offerings to small and medium business (SMB) market segments. The TM508 and TM512 are available for both the North American and European markets. Together with the Touchstone TM502, the two-line POTS solution for low-density residential and Small Office Home Office (SOHO) applications, MSOs can now:
- Provide from 2 – 12 lines of plain old telephone service (POTS) in a single package
- Support a full range of residential and business features including CLASS, high speed data and IP Centrex
- Leverage lower operating costs due to minimal power consumption and remote monitoring and managing capabilities
- Offer flexible indoor installation options for both rack mount and wall mount situations
With the multiline E-MTAs, there are extensive system management capabilities to service the unique needs of small business and MDU markets. Network Operations Center (NOC) support for toll grade small business and multiline dwelling voice service requires advanced provisioning, performance monitoring, and diagnostics capabilities. The TM508 and TM512 address these needs by supporting secure SNMP and a comprehensive suite of Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), PacketCable, DOCSIS, and ARRIS proprietary MIBs. Provisioned SNMP traps and event reports assure proactive management. User-friendly remote Telnet and local Ethernet port access to a password protected command line interface (CLI) as well as a device web page provide access to readable text provisioning settings, system logs, and diagnostics tools.
